My Inner Monkey Records is way beyond stoked to announce Meet The Funderken, debut album from manymanyhaha, out now!

Somewhere, a species has invented the ability to observe any point in their galaxy, at will, and are reporting back what they found……

23 songs over a little less than an hour (11 “songs” between 12 “interludes”).

No AI or sequencers were used, abused, decapitated, castrated, dismembered, coddled, nor even mildly encouraged in the making of the music. We swears it. Though it may sound like some odd version of psychedelic experimental electronica, it’s really just someone recording a guitar, drums, text-to-voice jams and a fuckload of effects.

Or would you like us to describe what it sounds like to you? (Billows of lovely aural fragrance evolve on city streets, as if the collectors on their trucks are being donated the opposite of refuse and do their task in time and polyrhythms, humming repeating melodies that escape but then reconsider and voluntarily return, to their grins).

About manymanyhaha: We prefer anonymity. Have released records under a different monikor in the past (idiopathic or the halfwit idiopathic or the halfwit formerly unknown as idiopathic). This if the first as manymanyhaha. Different methods, different sound etc.

Influences? Mayaan Nidam, Boards of Canada, Goat, My Bloody Valentine, Marissa Nadler, Milk Cult/Steel Pole Bathtub, Alan Hovhaness and if you squint really hard, Sugar Pie Desanto. To name a handful of playlist go-to’s that this record sounds nothing like. Or, to paraphrase Steven Soderbergh’s long ago oscar speech, anyone who has ever had a creative impulse. (Though of course, not those who use their creativity to do negative things, like come up with creative ways to murder or thieve. No, those people are like dolphins, they are fuckers!)
